Not sure of it's whereabouts but, it could be the culprit that closed the bridges in Lancaster the other day. Bugger!

As COLUMBUS is layed up ashore for sale and not insured for sailing I would be most grateful for a berth with anyone going over to Peil, either racing or cruising on the 15th .
Please reply if you can offer me a berth to:

Thanks in anticipation

Re: Glasson Basin Lock is Closed to Boats
Drove over the top lock today which had been filled up at 13.30hrs, five men in BLUE - I asume waterboard men not the fuzz - were gathered around the operating mechanism for the top lock earnestly discussing I know not what. Hopefully normal service will be resumed ASAP.

Re: Cruise to Arnside
Hello John, I met up with my fisherman/cross bay walks friend today. On enquiring as to the latest situation out there (in the Bay), he informed me of the changes to the river Kent bed up to Arnside. It would appear that the deep water would lie on a track from Morecambe lake heading for Jenny Brown...

Re: Mystery ?
I think the couple with Dave are his friends from Bolton-le-Sands, Michael Edwards and partner. They have taken over ownership of Dave's canal boat 'Lady of Man' so I understand.
Looks like they were in the Packet Boat pub in the village.

My thoughts were, when I read his introduction, what is this guy doing on a masters course when he can't even string a gramatically correct sentence together.

Re: Smallest cruiser in club on Caledonian Canal.
Well done Chris,
I saw you leaving the club with with your boat in tow and wondered where you might be going. I just happened to be in Lancaster on the Saturday when you came round the corner by the Stonewell Tavern on your return.
Good times can be had in little packages!
