Alex Ratters Ratcliffe

Unread post by doug gorton »

It is with great sadness I have just heard that after a long battle with cancer Alex has passed away. The strength, fortitude and good humour he showed during his long struggle was a true measure of the man. On behalf of myself and the members of the committee I would like to offer our deep felt condolences to his family and friends.
Arrangements to follow.

Truly sad news, a great bloke. Condolences to his family from Shirley and Mick.
I spent most of my money on Booze, Women and Boats. The rest I wasted.

Throughout his ordeal of pain and suffering, Alex continually adopted a most positive outlook, combined
with his great humour and welcoming smile.
Alex showed exemplary courage and bravery, in addition he was forever a great "team player".
He will be very sadly missed by us all.
God bless you mate.
Ivan.

Very sad, an inspiration on how to cope with illness. With his cheery and funny outlook on life and his many contributions to fellow members, we will sadly miss him at the club.

We are so sad to hear the news of Alex's death. Although we knew that it was only a matter of time it still somehow comes as a shock. We'll miss him and his dry humour. Our deepest condolences to his family. Brian ,Audrey and Lads,( especially Scott who had a great affinity with Alex when he was little).
