Sunday 8th June 2008

Unread post by Michael »

Hi
Sunday was supposed to be the Arthur Ingham Tropy races but no one turned up to organise the racing but then there were none of the usual racers turned up to race either.
Several dinghies went out. The sun was shining and there was a force 3 westerly wind blowing. The Club weather station said 12 to 15 knots? Is it reading fast/strong?
Michael Speight in his Gull, note Michael has changed his Wanderer for a Gull, his Wanderer now belongs to Jim & Hazel Cruise.
Nick & Alison Johnstone and their two children in their Mirror.
Ian & Barbara Sharples in their GP14.
Giles & Alex Stothert and Alex's uncle in their Wayfarer.
I ventured out on our Dart, first time on the Dart since I got the tramoline repaired, last time was February.
Alison Rayson and Sue Murphy went out in Alison's dabber and Derek Pemberton was out in his kayak.
Next Junior session is on Saturday 21st June, it's the Ladies Races in the afternoon starting at 1245 hours - is it possible that we will have a record entry this year?
