Dave Crowther Trophy History

Unread post by davidb »

Hi,

Norman is getting it engraved with past winners, he has got all the years apart from 2012 ( Jubilee Year ) any ideas please? I have searched this forum, my emails and the archived autumn 2012 Mainsheet, but not got the answer.

thanks, David

Hi David
I'm sure it's in Mainsheet - the winner of the last cruiser race on the Sunday of the Regatta.

David,
Was all this to remind us of your epic win in Plain Jane ?

I remember now that I was so impressed with your win that I too bought a Leisure 17.......

I do hope that it's a leisure17 SL like the Booths' with a "go faster" coach top not a "standard" like us poor people.

George, the SL only won because Pete was hanging out on the shrouds acting as trapeze man so it could carry full sail.

Sorry to prolong this thread, but I just don't remember us winning the DC Trophy. maybe it was because we won on average points and Steve Tomkinson won on Sunday with Misty?
