GSC Social - A Photographic Meander Round Morecambe Bay - Sat 22nd April

For our April social we have got David Rush, from Morecambe, coming to share his Photographic Meander Around Morecambe Bay. Taking in villages from Piel Island to Fleetwood, he explores some of the weird and wonderful people, traditions and history around the extraordinary Morecambe Bay.

"Morecambe Bay is far famed for its rich and varied bird life, the speed of its tides, the quirkiness of some fishermen who go out fishing with tractors and trailers, others in concrete boats, and of course the flaming sunsets. During the preparation for this slide show I shook hands with a king, took a photograph of a pig and I will show you something that is far better than the best scone in the world. Wordsworth called the 174 square miles of the Bay "A plain from where the sea has retired" "
