I thought my ears had been burning Brian
Sorry. We feel the same. They would have won almost everything if Norman hadn't been so unfortunate
Re: Well Done Glasson SC
A fantastic result - well done to the crews. But will someone please tell us what happened to Rice Pudding

Re: Well Done Glasson SC
Hi John, I don't blame you, well, not much anyway.
What happened to Norman, come to that, are they all back? I've been going down to the church(no, not to pray for them) to see if I could see any boat movements around high water. I bet the reports will make good reading when we get them.We had a good sail back from Piel on Sunday, as much wind as we wanted, double reefed ( though I think I was being over cautious) with some biggish rollers near Halfway shoal.
Regards, Brian.

Re: Well Done Glasson SC
We had a cracking race ,with a perfect start, Penny Diamond, Chablis and Jetwind were the first 3 boats to pt of Ayre. Heading into the wind to Jurby Hd the big super boats who set off 15mins later ,past us , Rice Pudding who set off 30 min later was soon coming up near Peel . It was a fast sail round the calf and then a run up to Ramsey. Nearing Douglas I heard a call from Rice pudding ,but I could not get radio contact with him . Rice Pudding had past all of the leading boats ,then near Maughold Hd ,in sight of the finish line ,Disaster sadly they were dismasted. No one was hurt , the forestay had broken and the mast came down over the cockpit. Luckily there is not to much damage and the mast is OK. Norman was hoping to ship Rice Pudding back to Glasson on Silver River ? Due to worsening weather we had to leave Ramsey early next day ,missing the prize giving and hearing any further news. Big John.
Re: Well Done Glasson SC
Hi John, Congratulations on your win. That's a real shame about Rice Pudding, thank goodness nobody was hurt.

Re: Well Done Glasson SC
Excellent stuff, we are impressed.
I may have to offer crew next year if time allows and I get the offer, I have obviously have a lot to learn from those experienced members.
Sorry to hear about Rice Puddling, it must have been a scary moment.
I hope everyone got home safely as the weather as turned nasty and still is.
Houndog Crew, look forward to the reports so we can learn from you. I would like you to include the prep and those small things that are needed to help us in experienced members thinking of improving and to get involved.

seems a shame, to me, that there are now three Isle of Man race topics, love, Michael
