Shipping Forecast
I got this man's book a few years ago, so I don't know why this article just popped up in yesterday's online Guardian. In the book, he tried to visit all the different areas. This article focuses more on the routine and familiarity of the BBC putting out the Shipping Forecast. I hope the link works ...

Just a thought - with all this time to spring clean and sort out drawers, cupboards, workshops, garages....AND the recycling centre s being shut - yes, you know where this is going. PLEASE SAVE USEFUL BRIC A BRAC For when we do eventually have...

John's Funeral
. . I have been keeping in touch with John's wife, Nett. She has asked me to put a message on this forum to thank all the club members who came to John's funeral. She said it was lovely that so many came so far to come to honour John on that day, and was very pleased to hear that he had been so appr...

What do you mean "Well done"?
"Well done for not emptying all the bottles"? ?
We had an elegant sufficiency.

Thanks AnnJ for the food, and for devising a score sheet, with some wine guidance. We didn't even have time for the quiz which she had done, but enjoyed reading the wine t...

Ladies' Evening (aka Wine Tasting)
Coming up on Sat 16th Nov at 8pm , we have the opportunity for us girls to get together for a natter, and to share some wine and snacks. This is how it works..... Bring a bottle of your favourite wine (or whatever), wrapped in foil, so it is incognito. Share with others to get their verdict - tell u...

Too hot for proper butter out of the fridge, and too cold/hard straight from the fridge, so one has to compromise with this inferior product.

calm.jpg The best (for us) conditions ever to sail home from Menai yesterday. Yes we even sailed. And it was calm enough to eat in a civilised way at 18.30 before mooring at Piel at 20.00, 2hrs before HW. THANKS to the Johnsons for maintaining the moorings, and to Colin for letting us use his. BIG ...

Set off for Porth Dinllaen at 8 this morning from Abermenai anchorage. Now moored in the bay just ssw of the lifeboat stn. Hoping for the wind to abate. 34 boats from Conwy were squeezing into Victoria Dock yesterday! Then they were off to Abermenai so we left them to it, we'll go back tomorrow. You...

Like the song Pj.
I think Chris Goodwin could sing it to the same tune that he uses for that other long rambling tale about Paddy's sick note (injured when the bricks fell on him).

Saturday night - Thank you Ian
. . Thanks Ian for a great night last Saturday. You have some good friends, and you managed to get a few of them together to entertain us with music and singing. And good to see Big John joining them towards the end, thanks John. . The Club did you proud too - I'll bet there were as many folk there ...

That wall behind the boat is where we moored Toggenberg before leaving for the Medway. We had moved from our berth at Robertson's round the corner, as we couldn't have got off the berth on the tide available on the day we wanted to go. Happy days. We had arrived at Woodbridge (from Lowestoft) on 25/...

Re: Our hard working tea ladies in our beautiful new kitchen.
The Brew was a great success, as was the Bric a Brac where Chris G put in a lot of effort and raised £143.44 from selling stuff that we had finished with. Dr Syn, you didn't get a photo with Chris as well as Janine - that would probably have cost you too much. TOTAL RAISED FOR THE RNLI IS £516.06. T...

Since it is the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, it looks like being a great weekend at GSC. So put it in your diaries. Caravan space can be booked vi...
