Four Glasson boats now in Whitehaven: Jetwind, Other Woman, Hound Dog and Sandpiper.
.
The first two launched in the middle of the night, then went out to anchor at Lune 1 till morning. The others sailed at HW and arrived at sunset and were curiously delayed by an obstruction outside the sea lock.
They had gone aground with a fin Keeler and the mast was across the entrance!
.
Hound dog can be seen approaching the harbour entrance.

Hi John,
We also plan to sail from Whitehaven early Saturday morning to make the most of the tide to arrive at the little cove under the Mull of Galloway at slack water, then off to Belfast on Sunday. All subject to change of course, regarding weather, etc.
cheers, David

Hi All
We are in Kirkcudbright. We are considering sailing to Douglas on Saturday if weather is ok for us.
PS Slippers is correct its a bit pricy in Kirkcudbright. £34 per night. That said we are having a great time. We had a rolly night at Little Ross Tuesday night at anchor. Walked St Mary's Island today, and most importantly had battered haggis and chips in the sum overlooking the harbour. Boat day and gin Distillery tour and taste tomorrow.
