COVID RESTRICTIONS AT THE CLUB

Unread post by Chriss »

July the 19th has heralded the governments decision to lift all Covid restrictions in England. Whilst encouraging the public to use extreme caution when going about their daily lives. In acknowledgement of this and the fact that infections are rising exponentially the following decisions have been made by committee on expected behaviour by members for the short and medium term.

We will not be opening the bar as the volunteer helpers did not feel confident enough in the present conditions. this will be reviewed on a 2 weekly basis by the bar committee.
Face coverings must be worn when moving about the interior of the club but will not be necessary when seated.
the 2 metre rule will still apply when in the clubhouse with people who are not in your bubble or family group.
the Track and Trace register and app should still be used.
Maximum of 2 people in the galley at one time.
fridges and freezers are switched off and not to be used.
Anyone using the clubhouse should use the sanitizers provided and wipe down any surfaces table tops chairs etc they have used.
Anyone who has been contacted by Track and Trace or shows any symptoms must not attend the club for the designated period.
The usual hand sanitising should take place on entering and leaving the club premises
The interior of all plant and machines should be sanitised after use.

To facilitate these expectations to be of any real value it was agreed at committee that they would be considered as temporary By-Laws and will be subject to review at consecutive meetings. I am sorry we are unable to open fully and that some restrictions have to remain but the needs, safety and duty of care to all the members is of paramount importance.
