Wow, Einar, what a good read. I wasn't expecting much, seeing as nothing much has happened. But I couldn't put the new Mainsheet down till I had finished it.
Well, that's not entirely true.... I didn't continue with the search for the NW Passage
. But I might finally be able to remember which is faster - mph or knots after that brilliant piece about the Nautical mile, and lovely sympathetic writing about Andy and Ian, thank you. I rang Anne Booth to thank her for their letter. If anyone wants to catch up with them, they usually join in when we have a quiz (that's why we have it around mid day, so they are not in bed!). And thanks to the other contributors - I'm glad someone managed to sail last year. We only got to Piel.
