G.S.C. Moorigs, Piel Island.
G.S.C. committee has agreed to the repacement of two complete mooring and two Hippo buoys (half the normal height)for the Green five gallon drums inshore mooring , that are are fastend to the ground weights by a very heavy duty Kevlar rope, less weight than chain.
The complete mooring are going to be trasported by road to Roa Island Sailing Club on a tipper truck, tipped there, part way down their slipway, the Roa I.S.C. have been most helpful and said they would drag the moorings down to low water for us with their tractor.
I have arranged with a Jack Doran, who was reccommended by R.I.S.C. to lift the G.S.C. moorings and place them in position.
They are to replace the two mooring that went walkies, between my mooring, Rice Pudding. going seaward, and the G.S.C. deep water mooring.
The above is planned to take place over the next three weeks ready for this season.
Cheers, Norman.
