I got this man's book a few years ago, so I don't know why this article just popped up in yesterday's online Guardian. In the book, he tried to visit all the different areas. This article focuses more on the routine and familiarity of the BBC putting out the Shipping Forecast. I hope the link works in general use. It worked when I tried it, but then they may know that I am a subscriber.
