Many members will remember Michael and Sue Swarbrick who were active and long-serving members of the club until a few years ago. I am passing this sad message on for the benefit of those who haven't already heard.
Dear Friends
Sue died at 2345 hours yesterday, Saturday 25th January 2020
It was very sudden.
She had been uncomfortable and agitated in the late afternoon so we sent for the district nurses who came and injected her with a mild dose of morphine and levomepromazie, she had vomited earlier. On the past occasion this had settled her down but this time it didn’t seem to work. I called the district nurses again as instructed if she didn’t improve.
When they arrived somewhat later they took me on one side and said she was dying which came as quite a shock and an hour later she was dead.
I’m sorry to send you this saddest news.
Trudie, Matt and Steven are looking after me.
Lots of love, Michael

I spent most of my money on Booze, Women and Boats. The rest I wasted.

We are also very sad to hear about Suzy, she was a lovely lady - one of the kindest people we know.
