Irish sea

Unread post by dr.syn »

Doe's anyone know where the border will be in the Irish Sea and whether we should strengthen our bows. I'm thinking a 1/2" stainless strip may suffice but don't want to order it until I get more info

Well Mick

Don't think it will matter to you, as it will be quite a few miles beyond Sunderland point

All the best for Christmas and have a good New year.

No doubt you will be the first out on the lune in 2020.

May I add my seasonal wishes, even though I'm not called Mick.

Hi Mick you will have to get busy you only have 13 months to do a complete inventory of every item on your yacht showing country of origin and vat paid receipt and make sure your life raft as an up to date certificate also get rid of any out of date flares. Keep all your fuel purchase receipts vat paid they will be checking you don't have any RED diesel on board. Check the passports of all people aboard that they still have 6 months to run and also have valid visa's don't forget to get exit stamps before leaving Glasson Port. Also carry your ships papers showing cert of ownership date built vat paid or proof of year manufactured to prove exemption. It maybe best if you apply for Small Ships Registration certificate. Don't forget to carry a full set of flags for countries you may visit ie Ireland and in future maybe Scotland and Wales.
Hope all Forum readers have a good Christmas and all the best for new year.
