Brew for the Crew - Saturday 9th July
On Saturday 9th July the Club is holding its annual 'Brew for the Crew' teaparty, in aid of the RNLI.
If you've not been before - please do try to come along - it's a real treat of an afternoon! Literally! Tea / coffee and a selection of delicious homemade cakes, in the Glasson Sailing Club equivalent of Betty's Tearooms! There'll also be a raffle and a bric a brac stall - all in a very good cause and all for a very reasonable price!
Starts 2pm, finishes around 4pm / 4.30pm.
A bit of a plea here - whilst it's impossible to know in advance how many people will come along, we would hate to run out of cakes. It would be great if we knew in advance that a few extra people had said they would bring something along - and what it was - so that the ladies doing all the serving and waiting on had an idea of what we had and what we didn't have. If needs be we can make extra, if it looks like there'd be a shortfall, although it can be quite a commitment if there's just a few people baking - but if we don't know what's coming, it's too late on the day to make more
So - Any offers of assistance with baking or serving teas / cakes would be very welcome and, if you have any books, bric a brac, plants etc which would be good for the stall, or donations for raffle prizes, please leave them in the pool room (clearly marked, please, so we don't sell anyone's prized possessions!)
See you there
