Slipway Questionaire

Unread post by davidb »

Dear member,

Consideration is being given to the medium and long term needs of the sailing club and resources required to meet that need. We are conducting a ‘straw poll’ to help us forecast what future demands are likely to be. We would be grateful if you would spend a few minutes to complete the following questionnaire and electronically (email) return it to me.

What type of sailing do you anticipate being in greatest demand in the medium to long term?;

* dinghy sailing
*cruiser sailing
* other (please specify)

Do you think the club should be ‘encouraging’ any particular type of sailing? Y/N
If yes please specify………………………………………………………..

In your opinion, is the trend members sailing, likely to use the slipway during a season;

*less frequently.
*about the same.
* more frequently than at present.

Do you think that present rules governing the use of the slipway are adequate, (both now and set against your prediction for its future use) to protect all personnel, craft and to provide fair access to all sections of the club?

Yes
No.

If No, what changes do see as being necessary to make them ‘fit for purpose’?
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Do you feel there is a congestion problem for use of the slipway?

Yes
No

If Yes, do feel that a speedier launch and retrieve manoeuvre both around the boat park and on the slipway would ease this congestion?

Yes
No

Thank you for taking time to complete this questionnaire and returning it to me.

Name……………………………………… please return by 27/05/07.

Please return to Tony Lamb at t-lamb@tiscali.co.uk Thank you for your help
