Thanks to everyone involved

Unread post by valsimpkin »

Just wanted to say a huge 'thank you' to everyone who assisted in yesterday's Brew for the Crew - it was a great day. So to those who baked, bought, served, took money on the door, donated bric-a-brac, bought bric-a-brac, put balloons and bunting up, drew attention to the event by parking their cars in strategic places - but especially to Chris who organised it all - a massive 'thank you and well done'. I think we raised £245 for the RNLI when everything was added up from the different coffers. :P

Yes, it was great. So many people enjoying themselves, and appreciating the new outside sitting area too.
Actually, Val, the total is now £256! Because today (Sun) we had a donation from some people who came today (wrong day, but they said, "well, we would have spent that if we had come to the event"), and another donation from someone who has borrowed the bunting!!
None would be possible without all the helpers and bakers, and poor Chris G who didn't see any of the sunny day, being incarcerated in the pool room making a fantastic sum of money selling Bric a Brac. Thanks again.
