Saturday 5th of November will see the Club holding it's annual Bonfire celebrations, with the fire being lit at 7.30pm and fireworks being launched from 8pm.
This isn't an event I've ever been able to attend, but I know that, traditionally, members bring along a contribution to a Jacob's Join.
I feel a bit of a party-pooper, as this will be the Club's first event since I became social secretary but, unfortunately, I'll have to be at home comforting two very noise-sensitive collies. Please accept my apologies for this. Unfortunately, Chris Booth is away as well.
However - I wondered if this thread could serve a useful purpose in, at least, allowing people to compile a list of what everyone is bringing to the Jacob's Join, so that there's not an over supply of one thing and nothing of another, so to speak. Also, if anyone has any queries about the proceedings - whether to do with the outdoor activities or the catering side of things - please post here and an answer will hopefully be able to be provided.
If I don't see you before - have a great evening and stay safe! Val xx

Yum imdeed! I'm rather disappointed that I can't be there - I do love fires and fireworks. There is nothing so good as sitting round a fire with friends. Maybe we'll be able to make it down, once we're sure all has gone quiet up here (Dolphinholme)
