Use of Whiteboard for launching and recovery

Unread post by davidb »

Dear Members
.
It appears that the protocols on the whiteboard and launching/recovery have been lost in the mists of time so hear is a gentle reminder.

It is important that all members wishing to launch or retrieve their boats give notification of their intention by displaying the boat name, and the date and driver to be used. The purpose of this is to create a list so drivers and skippers can assess if there is the capacity on the given tide to complete all the requests safely. This should be done fairly but with due consideration given to the draught of the boats involved and the hight of the tide. It is not a first come first service process, however skippers who have failed to give prior notice of their wish to be launched or retrieved and/or who have not secured the help of an authorised driver will be considered last.
