Quiz and Social Saturday 15th December

For our pre-Christmas Social, we're sticking with our popular Quiz Night, with Mince Pies and maybe some other bits and pieces to keep the cold out!

Jim Cruise's quizzes are fast becoming the stuff of legend in the Club and he has, once again, laboured long and hard to pull together another selection of questions which, once again, follow a theme of 'Mainly Maritime' - but that's maritime in its broadest meaning!
There'll also be mince pies, maybe some silly hats, fabulous prizes to be won and (as they say) much much more!!

Saturday 15th December - 8pm.

Free entry - Teams of four/five-ish please - no world domination. Last chance for a get together before Christmas madness sets in! Hope to see lots of you there!

Jim, that was brilliant. Pitched at just the right level, and a good variety of subjects for questions. Thanks very much, I know how much time these things take.
I do apologise now for our team. I've only just properly read Val's notice...." teams of four or five please". We had seven, so didn't deserve second prize unless some of our team counted as a handicap (I'm sorry that I wrongly insisted on the Rhine in the river question). Anyway, if the fourth place team wish to claim some of the prize which has not already been devoured, please let me know.
