GLASSON DOCK
Glasson Basin Lock Gates
Please note that we have received Notification of a Temporary Closure of the Basin Lock Gates, between the outer dock and the canal basin. The Canal and River Trust have stated that, following a short closure in December which identified work that was required to the gates, they are Closing the Gates from Monday 9th January for a period of 5 weeks.
This will enable them to carry out repair work that is essential to the continued safe use of the Lock Gates.
Berthing in the outer dock is extremely limited. Owners of vessels must not enter Glasson from the sea, in anticipation of waiting in the outer dock, without first checking with the Harbour Master that there is a berth available.
