.
Sorry, I've not got one. Please could someone let us have one for the web site. There should be some good photo opportunities these next few days.
I believe they have taken the stonework well down now. It would be very interesting to see the internal construction if we are not too late.
cheers, David

Low water is about half 4 in the afternoon tomorrow - if the weather's decent I'll try and get down with the dogs - but I don't think you can park by the lighthouse at the moment, so have to park by the caravan site and walk along

Monday 18th ...1 hr after high water. Not a particularly great photo, but it does show that the top is definitely off!

Re: Recent Lighthouse Picture
I walked to Cockersand abbey last week and all the stones that have been removed so far from the lighthouse are stored in their relevant positions next to the sea wall, all numbered and lettered. I spoke to one of the construction gang and he said it would probably be another two months before completion. I just hope there's no bits left over when they've finished.

Re: Recent Lighthouse Picture
I went this afternoon and took some pics - will probably send them to David B to put up as I can't see how to do it - and they're held on the PC anyway
Re: Recent Lighthouse Picture
Thanks very much for your replies folks and for going specially, Val. I shall start a blog post about it now to put up to date pictures of progress in.
It would be great to get one from the bridge of a ship or a drone looking down at it at HW whilst the structure is quite low.
I don't suppose it was done like the Eddystone Light https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smeaton%27s_Tower, but all the same, the lower part must have been very solid to withstand the bump of the accident.

Wonder what it would look like if someone renumbered all the stones
I spent most of my money on Booze, Women and Boats. The rest I wasted.
