NOTICE TO MARINERS

GLASSON DOCK
Mariners are advised that deconstruction work is now underway at Plover Scar Lighthouse. A tower crane has been erected landward of the lighthouse, and tension cables with ground anchors are to be fixed to the crane, and also to the scaffolding for the full circumference of the lighthouse.
The exclusion zone remains in place between the lighthouse and the eastern shore of the estuary, and the exclusion zone also extends around the western side of the lighthouse to a distance of 30 metres. The navigable channel remains unaffected.
Mariners are advised to proceed with due caution in the area.
