car engine diagnostics

Unread post by dr.syn »

Just bought one of these as I had an engine management light come on. Sods law, before it got here I tweaked all the sensor wires visable from the engine bay and the light went off. If anyone has a light on I'll bring it over for the pool tornament weekend and we can try it out. Hate to think what a garage would charge for testing.

I've got one of those bluetooth odb2 sensors. It works really well with my android phone. I got it because my old car had told me what mpg I was doing and I missed it on my new one. I use it with the Torque pro app which cost about £5 - the free version didn't work with diesel engines.
