Gales, severe in places, especially for exposed coastal areas in the West, will continue overnight, wth gusts to
65-75 mph in places, yeh yeh yeh !
IF, YOU ARE STILL READING THIS ------hopefully, the situation may change for us in the Spring !
Talking about sailing-----may I ask, who of us with day-boats and dinghies, wishing to be invoved in racing----even sailing, in 2015, respond to this request, with your "positive"views.
We MAY be able to improve our presence on the water, at the same time become better sailors.
Oh, may be a good idea---check you boat is tied down securely, not only preventing damage to your boat, also other boats in the vicinity !
Looking forward to your views,
Ivan.

Re: YELLOW ALERT
Hi Ivan,
Once again you are the bearer of good news
.
You say the winds have to get up to 65--75mph, But is this on the Bund or down in the shelter of the Bund???.
How is the sea wall repair holding up to the high tides being lashed against it?

Re: YELLOW ALERT
Hi Mick,
On my brief visit to the club this morning, I attempted a walk along the patio, to view the area around the jetty, suddenly,
a huge gust---almost lifting me off my feet---propelled me back along the patio, just managing to grab a picnic table, still in place,as far as I'm aware!
Decided health and safety was foremost in mind, it would be wise to remove myself from further excitement.
Think the bund is still intact, am almost certain your boat remains upright, couldn't see your mast.
Trust you find my brief report, most reassuring.
Ivan
Best Wishes old fruit !

Re: YELLOW ALERT
Hi Ivan. Thanks for your update which does not make me feel any better. (you think my boat is OK but you couldn't see the mast) . The only explanation that leaps to mind as its one of the tallest masts up there is its on its side, not wishing you ill health but I hope its your eye site thats giving up. Bet you couldn't see slippers his mast is down. HAPPY XMAS. Mick
Re: YELLOW ALERT
Hi Mick, I was at the club yesterday morning, your boat is still there with mast, just facing the other way that's all

Re: YELLOW ALERT
Hi Brian. Thanks for that report it was just in time as the rope was fixed to the manhole at the top of the stairs, just couldn't go through another 7months of waiting for a mast to be fixed in place. HAPPY XMAS TO YOU BOTH Mick and Mary
Re: YELLOW ALERT
Thanks for that Mick, the same to you and Mary (See, I don't hold a grudge, well not for long anyway. But I will get that furthest west cup)
