Hi mike, where do yo get yr wind speed from?

Whilst weather station is off line, I could use a link to another local one that has proved to reasonably reflect conditions at gsc.

I used to use morecambe ( metereolocica ) but its all flash pages and not good old fashioned jpegs like ours.

Hi David

I use XCWeather. It gives up-to-date recorded conditions at Blackpool Airport and Walney and lots of other places. I just use the Club post code for the forecast:

http://www.xcweather.co.uk/forecast/LA2%200DB

I've found this more realistic as we are slightly inland but you can intrapolate between this and the bay forecast, below, allowing for wind direction, also taking into account the current and past Club readings, which I find tends to be stronger than actual.

I look at the windsurfers web site for the weather in the bay. Big John uses this:

http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/morecambe_bay

It could be, like yesterday, the wind doesn't get up to strength, Blackpool was lower than forecast when I last looked.

Jeff uses the the Met Office forecast for Fleetwood, the nearest station to us.
