forum log - in

Unread post by davidb »

I was speaking to a committee member today who is running Vista on his computer.

He said that every time he went on this forum his computer crashed ! ?? :?:

But he also suggested that it would be better if members could simply log in without a password.

I agree, because the simpler we make it to use, the the more it will get used.

I shall try and change it so that posts can be read by anyone without logging in for a start? or would that be asking for trouble?

It never fails to amaze me how folk find it difficult to use, I'm sure its easier than email

I have made a couple of changes:

password length can now be 4 to 10 characters

can have more than 1 registrations from each email address

Can't find how to make posts viewable by non - members

Can't see an option of no password

Hi John,

I've removed the forum password. I think its introduction was by mistake. If not I'm sure David will let me know! You should be able to access the forum now.

I've set the forums to read only for guests on a trial basis.
