concessionary members

Unread post by dr.syn »

Just been told the concessionary membership will end this year, so for pensioners on fixed income it will increase by 50% to the full membership. Anyone know why this is so, it's not as if the club is short of a bob or two, during covid we still had to pay subs yet were given a few grand from the taxpayer in the covid recovery fund and I understand we have just purchased a 20k lawnmower/dayboat launch and recovery tractor so we must be still pretty buoyant. Although the extra will probably not be too much in the scheme of things it would be nice to know the reasoning behind it.

I stand corrected, someone just sent me the reason, it was posted at the club and I haven't been over for some time so didn't see it. The reason is now understandable. Cheers
