Whilst I was at the club over the weekend several members asked me about Whitehaven Marina where I am currently keeping my boat. This video gives an impression of it. The video was made for the Marina so it's obviously going to show it in the best possible light but I think it's pretty accurate none...

Well done both of you!

I was at the club this last weekend and I found a Windex on the grass, apparently been blown off a boat. It's the kind that incorporates a vhf radio aerial. I've left it with Frank behind the bar.

A very sad loss. I'll miss him as I know we all will.

After we left Kirkcudbright we went further up the Solway to Kippford and spent a few days there. It's a very pretty place, more reminiscent of South Devon than Scotland but it dries so your boat needs to be able to take the ground. There are a couple of drying pontoons belonging to the Solway Yacht...

I just want to thank all the people who helped today when a wheel came of Strider's trailer as she was being towed to the slipway. Thanks to their help she was successfully launched and is now berthed temporarily in the marina.

I should like very much to spend New Year's Eve at the club but don't want to make a 130 mile round trip if there's going to be nobody there due to the awful weather. Any info' on likely attendees much appreciated. Happy New Year to all just in case I don't make it.
