For Windermere, the pictures are shocking. I read that 63 boats broke their mooring during the storm, with lots sunk, others washed up.

Thanks to all who helped with the running of the regatta. It was lovely to be at and see many people at the club this weekend, both on and off the water.

On this topic, am I right in assuming that after March 29 I will be able to go to the club and launch my dinghy for a sail, accepting that I won't be able to go into the clubhouse? This does of course presume that the government roadmap does not change,

I forget to include in my first posting that I have a picture if needed.

Walking from the slipway to the race control box, I found a set of 4 battens in the middle of the grassed area - 2 roughly 9" long and 2 roughly 12". I have put them in the clubhouse in front of the signing in book, next to the bar.

I found the latest edition of Mainsheet to be a great read, in particular the articles by Roger Pearce and Mick Bull. Well done to all concerned. Oh, and remember what you say in hearing range of the bar - those faux pas may come back to haunt you!!

I sailed past it yesterday. It does look a good job. Not sure why there is a yellow marker buoy to the north (I passed to the south!!).

Does anyone know of a person in the Lancaster area that could renovate an outdoor decking area, replacing several planks and treating? I don't suppose I am necessarily looking for a high quality carpenter, more for a good joiner or odd job man - there are a few other odd jobs that could be undertaken.
