Hi Pete, its a pity that firm hadn't been contracted to make a proper job of the sea gate, it might still be operational if they had been involved.Bazz is good at getting to grips with a mechanical problem. They do make a good intreresting video. D

Broken sea gate at Glasson Dock is fixed – but still won’t fully open

The 38-year-old gate acts as a flood defence when raised. When lowered it gives access to the inner dock and neighbouring ...

Streaker sailing dinghy on Offer

Unfortunately, I am not in a position to complete it now, nor sail it even if I could do so. The boat was purchased in 1980 as a Jack Holt kit and the work that has been done took place im...

Yesterday we were pleased to welcome two new members to the committee: Dave Riley for membership and John Howarth (Chorley John) as Moorings Officer. Good news, but there are still a couple of vacancies, ie Cruising Commodore and Mainsheet Editor.

Dave Riley went on the roof and fixed it with a dose of WD-40 today. It might be reading a bit low. I have now got a new replacement and will fit it shortly.
Thanks Dave
