digging the anchor in

Unread post by dr.syn »

over the weekend I thought I'd give my Bruce spare anchor a second chance, it let me down once so I never used it again. The first photo shows the usual orientation, the same for my Danforth bower in the river's tide. The next is the Bruce, they gave 4-6 on a lee shore so that night I went deeper and put the engine in reverse to dig it in. I've never tried that before, always relying on the tide to dig it in but I was really impressed when I woke up and seen how it had gone in. Anyone else dig the anchor in by reversing?

I spent most of my money on Booze, Women and Boats. The rest I wasted.
