Just discovered this app and I'm very impressed. It turns any tablet or smart phone into a chart-plotter, it even includes weather and it's free!
downloadable from Google Playstore or Apple Appstore.

No you don't, The charts reside on your device, You don't need WiFi or mobile data.

Try switching all WiFi off Jim, I can't get it if I'm not on any network

Just have done Mick, turned off both WIFI and mobile data - works perfectly. Not sure if it always will, maybe it's a free trial period. You can upgrade to premium version for approx' £35 this lets you download charts for anywhere and can show other ships if linked to AIS etc.

Just seen this, got charts, weather, tide, the lot. Probably system wise it's similar to cmap. ie you pay at some point
