I realise there is no shortage of old pictures of Glasson. I have however not seen this one before, it being taken c1950 for the Francis Frith company, he being the man credited with "inventing" the seaside holiday postcard. The name on the side of the building (not easily discernable from this scan) is Gerrard's. I did not realise masted schooners like this visited Glasson so (relatively) recently. The scan was taken from a book called Britain's Coast, containing pictures taken by Francis Frith and others for his company, all round the coast of Britain. I shall put the book into the library on my next visit.
