Re: 3 free sails in green container

Hi John I put the sails in the container mid way through last year when they were donated to the club and put up the sign. They have been there since. Someone marked the sign as 2 taken but they were still 3 there when another interested party looked at them later last year, he didn't take them and ...

Re: Vikings

How was the new patrol boat trailer? The trailer worked quite well, the boat went in easily with only the bottom of the tire in the water you just control its speed in with the winch. Recovery the hull just touched the slip as it met the rollers and started to rise onto the trailer, the low speed w...

Good to get it back, all I can say is that it was on station at the end of last season. If it is number 2 it's the first buoy behind Ocean Phoenix looks like another thing on my list if I actually launch this year.

Re: Back Home

We came into Glasson Dock as Helga and Serendipity were setting off for Piel. Absolutely flat calm all the way up the Irish Sea today, again we saw nothing due to bad Vis. Now we need to find a trailer to carry Sandpiper's 4 tonnes, then a few improvements can be made to various systems on board . ...

Re: Trailer Construction Advice...

Many years ago I got my axles and wheels from Dugdales near Nelson (as far as I can remember) I also saw some at Frank Barnes's breakers near Burnley. More recently I bought 4 lorry wheels and tires from http://www.walshanddearden.com/website/ and found them very helpful.

Re: Trailer Construction Advice...

Hi David Before you do anything have a look around the boat park at the trailers and decide what design of trailer would suit your boat the best. Occasionally trailers come up for sale or most trailers are built from wagon wheel and axles from commercial breakers yards keep in mind the width between...

Missing trolley frame

Has anybody any idea where a aluminium trolley frame that was left on the trailer between the club house and the garage has gone? The owner came to fit the wheels today after making a couple of bushes for the axle and the frame is no longer there. If some one has removed it thinking it was scrap ple...

FYI A new club gate lock has been fitted that only takes a new pound coin SO before you spend 5 minutes slagging off the lock I think you should know that we have also fitted a voice recorder to the gate post so watch your language
