Re: Let's get some boats wet

I'm not really sure who you're talking to - Owen talks to the dayboat sailors and dinghy sailors who do pretty much exactly what you are suggesting - sail on the river and maybe out into the Bay a bit. We might even sail in company up to the pub, for a drink and a chat before sailing back down again...

Re: Day Boat Sailing Dates

I think Owen just set the dates / details out back in April in the hope that a Viking Invasion somewhere might prove to be possible, Chris but, as you say, the Golden Ball at Snatchems is well and truly shut, and there's no alternative destination to sail to really, with the collection of boats and ...

Yeah - that’s what I mean - the people who live full time in the cottage would have been totally alone if pub landlord wasn’t there

I’d have loved it!

Wonder what it was like going through lockdown on there - I think there's only one of the houses that has permanent residents in it! Hope they have a boat to get their shopping!

Re: GSC Covid-19 Update - Track and Trace

The NHS Track & Trace App doesn't work on iPhones older than 6S as far as I know - I know it doesn't work on ours which are 6 so hopefully a manual system will still be there for those of us who can't do it by scanning a QR code?

Re: Next Time we are at Glasson

Jeff just said that yesterday (about how it would make a lovely restored railway) - I have to say, whilst I don't disagree, I think it makes a nicer walkway / cycle route

Re: Next Time we are at Glasson

It's further along towards the Vic, David - no real sign of it now though, but you'll be able to get the perspective of where that small gable ended building (immediately above the railway carriage in the pic) was (it's not there now), lined up I should think. That property is down by the mini round...
