If anybody was wondering about the new yellow buoy that has appeared in the middle of the river outside the dock it's to help the pilot when manoeuvring ships on the turn.

Good job Glasson marina was not your next port of call, I think you need to give the dock 48 hours notice.
Watch out for the midges at Kirkudbright though perhaps not in a force 6
